Biography
Matt is a presenter, journalist, and producer with over a decade’s experience in the television industry.
After a year co-hosting Sky Sports’ ‘Any Driven Monday’ with Naomi Schiff, he created the channel’s podcast – which has gone on to become one of the most popular of its kind in the UK: surpassing over 8 million listens within two seasons. As both its producer and host, Matt leads weekly conversations from the searching to the frivolous with some of Formula One’s biggest names and personalities.
Before joining Sky, he presented content for Golfing World and Golf TV – travelling the globe, interviewing players, and fronting a travel mini-series for Mercedes Benz. He was also part of the on-air team for Live@Wimbledon, hosting interviews and segments across the Championships, and – as an all-round sports fanatic – has relished opportunities to test his versatility across a variety of disciplines. Covering the Paralympics this summer was a highlight, as was pitting his wits against the Wacky Racers whilst reporting on Goodwood’s Festival of Speed.
Studying Theatre and Performance at University has proven surprisingly useful as a broadcaster: the ability to perform, hold a room, tell stories, and craft the look and feel of content to perfection have all come to the fore since heading from Leeds’ Student Theatre to the greens, courts, and grids of elite sport.
