Biography
Johnny Mowlem is a professional British racing driver. During his career Mowlem was ranked amongst the best sports car and GT drivers in the world, having competed in every class of world championship sports car racing.
Johnny is one of Britain’s most accomplished and respected endurance racing drivers, with a career spanning over two decades at the highest levels of international motorsport. He has competed in and won or podiumed in virtually all of the motorsport world’s most prestigious events such as the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Rolex 24 at Daytona, 12 Hours of Sebring, and Petit Le Mans. During his career Johnny represented top sport cars marques such as Porsche, Ferrari, Saleen and Lotus. Johnny built a reputation for speed, consistency, and professionalism—qualities that made him a sought-after teammate and coach in both professional and Pro/Am racing.
In 2016, he founded Red River Sport, an agency dedicated to mentoring and coaching gentleman drivers to achieve their motorsport ambitions, while also creating unique motorsport and adventure experiences around the world—from circuit and rally events to winter bobsleigh and skeleton challenges.
In addition to his racing and coaching achievements, Johnny is an experienced television presenter and commentator, having hosted and contributed to motorsport programming for multiple broadcasters, both live and pre-recorded. His engaging on-screen presence and ability to translate the complexities of high-level racing into compelling storytelling have made him a trusted and recognisable voice within the sport.
