Allan McNish

Growing up in Dumfries Scotland, Allan McNish was part of a high calibre set of young drivers making their way up the ladder at this time – including David Coulthard & Dario Franchiti, with Jackie Stewart as a role model and mentor.

Having devoted the early part of his career to single seaters Allan started his sports car career in 1996 where he soon became one of the World’s most highly rated sportscar drivers. Winning the race outright for the first time in 1998 with his team Porsche. He then moved manufacturers and it was his time with AudiSport that saw most of his accolades – including two further wins at the 24 hours of Le Mans in 2008 & 2013 and 4 wins at the 12 Hours of Sebring.

Allan retired in 2013 when he won Le Mans and the FIA World Championship in the same year.

Since his racing career Allan is a board member at Audi and was recently announced as the Racing Director of Audi Revolut F1 Team, leading all race track activities.
