Our First Cannes Lions!

9 July 2026

LoudSpeaker Agency went to Cannes Lions for the first time this year. And honestly? We're still buzzing.

A full week of sport, broadcast, TV and talent all crammed onto one stretch of French coastline, with some of the biggest names in the industry mixed in with the rest of us. We weren't totally sure what to expect walking in as a small agency. Turns out, we fit right in. 2026 was the first year, in the festival's 73-year history, Cannes Lions ever ran a dedicated Sport programme.

The Bits that Stuck with us …

Lindsey Vonn was a genuine highlight. Hearing her speak wasn't really about medals, it was about rebuilding a career from scratch, on her own terms.

AI and women's sport came up in basically every conversation we had. Both feel like they're only going to get bigger, and they're exactly the space we want to be paying attention to.

Why It Actually Mattered For Us.

If we're honest, the real value wasn't in the sessions. It was catching up with people we hadn't seen in years, and meeting a load of new faces who matter to where we want to go next.

Our Talent Are Out There Making The Broadcasts

Over just the last month, we've had talent working amongst the teams for Le Mans 24 Hours, the British Grand Prix, Wimbledon, T20 International cricket, the WRC and the FIFA World Cup.

So .. What Did We Learn?

  • Stay true to who we are and maintain our values - that's what we built the Agency on in the first place.
  • Keep evolving: the industry, especially with AI, isn't slowing down, so neither can we.
  • Do it smarter next time! A few less steps going back and forth, and more regular stops to catch the conversations.

If we missed you at Cannes, we'd still love to catch up for a coffee and a chat!
